Susan E. Crawford, DO

Susan Crawford, D.O., joined the faculty of Saint Louis University School of Medicine as a professor and vice chair for research in the Department of Pathology. Dr. Crawford earned her medical degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by an anatomic pathology residency at Rush University, and a pediatric pathology fellowship and a basic science research fellowship both at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. Her previous faculty appointments include Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the NorthShore University Research Institute, the academic affiliate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in Evanston, Ill., from where she joins SLUCare.

Dr. Crawford is a member of the International Academy of Pathology and the Scientific Advisory Board of the National Children's Heart Foundation. Dr. Crawford has clinical expertise in placental, perinatal and cardiac biopsy pathology. In addition to teaching responsibilities, Dr. Crawford has research interests in cardiovascular-thoracic pathology.
