Sarah L George, MD

Dr. George jointed the Division of Infectious Diseases and the Liver Center at Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center in September 2003. She has clinical and laboratory-based research interests in HIV, HIV/HCV coinfection, GB Virus C infection, and immune responses to HCV and related viruses.

Laboratory research interests include investigation into mechanisms of GB Virus C’s inhibitory effect on HIV and immune responses to HCV and related viruses including Dengue and West Nile Virus. Clinical research interests are in vaccine studies to find a protective vaccine against HCV, Dengue virus, and West Nile Virus.

Dr. George also has extensive experience in treating all aspects of infectious diseases including HIV and HIV/HCV coinfection.
