Kirubahara Vaheesan, MD

Dr. Kirubahara Vaheesan joined Saint Louis University as a Section Chief of Interventional Radiology and Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology on December 12, 2012.

Dr. Vaheesan is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and he received his Certification of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.  He has hospital affiliations at Saint Louis University Hospital, SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center and SSM St. Mary's Health Center.

He has clinical expertise in interventional oncology, solid organ transplantation related interventions, dialysis interventions, trauma-related interventions, TIPS, and uterine artery embolization.

His research interests include thrombolysis and liver transplant interventions.
